If you’re seeking an exotic spot to honeymoon or vacation, Costa Rica is a beautiful country located in Central America nestled between Nicaragua and Panama. This little country is home to a myriad of nature’s lush flora and fauna with breathtaking landscapes just waiting to be discovered. It would seem the people in Costa Rica certainly know how to enjoy themselves and be ‘laid back’ at the same time.

This little country is home to a myriad of diverse flora and fauna - in fact it is home to 5% of the World’s biodiversity. There are 26 national parks and protected areas you can visit in Costa Rica which probably helps explain this. Admire the great Ocean views here where the Caribbean Sea is located on one side and the Pacific Ocean in the other. The Caribbean side offers lots of relaxing time while the Pacific Ocean is for the young and daring who prefers to ride the waves.

There is so much to do here in Costa Rica. This is the haven for the noisy and colorful macaws, leatherback turtles and morpho butterflies. You can join in on the rainforest tour and jungle safari trips. See the wonders of the migrating whale, amaze yourself with the variety of dolphins available and sea turtles that cross the coastline during certain times of the year.

If you wish to go volcano watching, head on to the northern part of the country where you can see the Arenal, which is still active! The other is located midpoint of the country and one at the southern end where there is a hot spring that attracts people to soak in its therapeutic waters. The country is rich in flora and much of the variegated crops are concentrated along the volcano areas, where the lava from past eruptions creates a very conducive spot for plantation. Today, people from all over the world visit Costa Rica to enjoy sun drenched days amidst the blue waters and white sands.

The best time to vacation in Costa Rica is between December and April which is the period of the dry season and May through November when they go through the rainy season. Choose a nice time to visit, it is located a few miles form the equator so you would not to come here when the sun is burning hot. Take note of any possible disasters and stay clear of any groups you are unsure of. To have a meaningful and enjoyable vacation in Costa Rica, make sure you do your homework accordingly and plan the trip well.
